Hello, I am Claudia Menesini and this is my second year at Brookfield School, but my 33rd year in the
Nevada educational field. After working 32 years in public education and retiring from administration, Brookfield School is such a breath of fresh air. Last year was such an exciting and rewarding experience working with such bright children,
caring parents and a dedicated staff. This year, I am looking forward to bringing another new and wonderful experiences to all my students and parents.
My name is Vanelda Bratt and I originally moved to the
Truckee/Reno area in 1985. I have been working with young children for the last
sixteen years. I obtained both my Bachelors of Science, and my Masters Degree
in Special Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I first began
working with Preschool and Kindergarten children in 1991. I taught in private
schools until 1999. In the fall of 1999, I began teaching at the onsite Child
Development/Preschool at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In the fall of
2002 I began teaching for the Clark County School District. For the first 2
years I taught the Early Childhood Special Education Class in the mornings and
Kindergarten in the afternoons. In the fall of 2004 I began teaching Second
Grade at Frank Kim Elementary, in the Clark County School District. I taught
there for 3 years before returning to Truckee/Reno. I am very excited to have
returned home to this beautiful area and to my family here. I am looking
forward to an exciting new school year, as well as a long and wonderful career
teaching at Brookfield School.
