Brookfield's calendar is from September until June with summer school available from June to August for 8 weeks. Normal school hours except we are out at 1 pm on Fridays. Our holidays are similar to, but not exactly the same as, other schools.

The Brookfield curriculum is designed for most students. The faculty is not prepared to handle severe behavioral or academic problems. We have an open enrollment policy which takes children at any time during the year. Everyone is enrolled on a probationary basis. Our school administrators help with guidance which is done in the positive spirit of support and encouragement. The extensive scholarship program is awarded to Brookfield students who have demonstrated ability and need. All students (except preschool) wear uniforms and follow the dress code.

Before/after school care is available on an hourly rate from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. It is priced so that more than one child is free. The After School Care includes a supervised home work study hall, enrichment programs and activities such as Spanish club, art, chess, and internet.

Brookfield accepts applications from all candidates without discrimination as to race, creed, religious belief, or national origin. Applications are accepted on the basis of academic and behavioral qualification, as well a personal interview. Testing for the fall begins in February, is free, and takes about 1/2 hour.

Brookfield parent's club (PTA) meets monthly and plays a very important role in the total Brookfield experience. Working closely with the Director, this association aids in communication between families and the school. It also lends support of various school functions and specific school needs . . . Such as hot lunch, library, art, & ski program.
