Brookfield and the PTA are excited to announce a new Hot Lunch Program. We have partnered up with Qdoba Mexican Grill to offer fresh, high quality, nutritional food as our lunch partner this year. Lunches will start on the first day of school. Each lunch will offer a balanced variety consisting of a rotating entrée paired with healthy options including fresh fruits and vegetables. All lunches will be freshly prepared at the Qdoba located at 6135 S. Virginia Street in the Whole Foods Shopping Center and brought to the school. Although we all know Qdoba as a Mexican restaurant, they have agreed to expand their menu in order to give more variety outside their normal Mexican fare, only available to Brookfield.
If you wish to see first hand what Qdoba is offering there will be a tasting for parents on Friday, September 17th at 12:00 at TLC and 1:00 at the main campus. You will receive 3 samples (small tasting sizes) of the main dishes being served at the school along with two sides. Please use this opportunity to judge for yourself the quality and freshness of our new Hot Lunch Program and enjoy a nice lunch with your child.
To sign up for this tasting opportunity, just fill in the form that will be available the first day of school in both campus offices. The cost for the tasting is $6. (cash or check made out to Qdoba.) Please return the form with payment to the front desk at either campus by Monday, September 13th. For those of you who cannot make it to the tasting, we are setting up a day for you to dine at their restaurant (and Qdoba will donate 20% of your bill to the PTA.) We will let you know the date of that opportunity as soon as it is determined.
If you wish to have your student sign up for the Hot Lunch Program we are asking parents to agree to the program in one month increments. The lunches will cost $4 at TLC and $5 at the main campus. This price includes all costs including serving and cleanup. Parents can view the menu and sign up . Payments will be made directly to Qdoba by credit card only. A credit card authorization form can be found at the link above. If you are interested please fill out the form and fax it back to Qdoba. Lunch orders for the month of September are due by Thursday, September 2nd.
We understand that the new Hot Lunch Program may not fit the needs of all families, but we hope it can work for the majority of those interested. We always encourage your feedback.
