RE: NEW DATES! Greece/Italy Trip Mar.  19th  – 28th

REGISTER NOW! – OVER EASTER! – Price Change is only $35 more

Dear Potential Traveling Family,

We will be joining another student group and I will be leading a group of students, families and friends from Brookfield School to Italy and Greece on an educational tour operated by ACIS (American Council for International Studies, www.acis.com).

I am asking you to register by Dec.1st with a credit card, on-line, for $500 per person.  After Dec. 1st the cost of the trip will increase $100 and registration of additional travelers are still welcome.  Online registration is available at www.acis.com trip # 91737, last name login: Osgood.  I recommend some interesting pages on acis.com, one called the “ Travel Center ”.  A link to investigate is called “Trip Finder” and click on Italy and the trip name “Cradle of Civilization” to describe the trip in detail.

Until Dec. 1st, departing from Reno , the cost for a student with triple room is $2,564.00, for an adult with double room is $2,834 and for a student with a double room (younger student, with an adult) is $2,774.00. After Dec. 1st each rate is $100 more. This includes breakfast and dinners, entrance fees, air, lodging, transportation, and tour guide.  Travel money needed is estimated at $50 - $75 a day for lunch / souvenirs. Money will be easy as both countries use the EURO for exchange.  Our two country tour will require passports and the web site for passports is:  www.travel.state.gov/passport/index.html  .  Passports usually take around 6 weeks to get so prompt attention is essential.

Departure is only 4 months away.  We are scheduled to depart Saturday, March 19, for Greece and Italy for 10 days, returning March 28, 2005 (Holy Week & Easter).  Our structured program includes sightseeing trips, excursions, walking tours and many exciting local activities.  A full-time, specially selected tour manager will accompany us on all of our educational excursions and assist us in making the most of our free time.  Our 10 day trip will include tours on foot, boat, and bus.  Our group will set eyes on the Acropolis, Coliseum, Delphi, Vatican Museums, Pompeii, Florence, St. Peter’s Basilica, and Michelangelo’s David, just to name a few!  This will be an opportunity for our group to study the cultures of two countries, Latin, history, art and literature.

Please email me about your interest in this trip or with questions at Brookfield@gbis.com.  If you are no longer interested I would still like to hear from you to help in future trip planning. I will be calling everyone next week to answer any more questions.

Sincerely,   Brookfield School

Katie Osgood-Johnson, Upper grades Director
