Spring 2007

Dear Inquiring Parent:

We know that selecting the right school for your child can be difficult, and we appreciate your consideration of Brookfield.  We are here to help you make an informed decision. Enclosed you will find information about our programs.

For over forty years of continuous service, our commitment is to raising our standards of excellence. Most noticeable from last 2 years is our Math SAT test which both years have been in the top 10%.. With the enhanced math curriculum in all grades you can see from the chart that our school scored on an average of 91 % in 2004 (top 9% in the country!).  From our long history we can assure you that the Brookfield approach and philosophy (traditional curriculum, small class size, and direct and cooperative instruction, and certified classroom teachers) is a recipe for success.

We know the sacrifices you make for your children are huge.  A solid, strong education helps to safeguard your child’s future. New research has again shown that early academic success is indicative of future academic success. Early reading programs are now backed by research.  Brookfield has a traditional early reading and full curriculum that has a 40 year proven track record.

Our approach is keeping the student stimulated and excited. The Brookfield philosophy challenges students to improve. We know you value education and want the finest possible preparation for your child’s future. Our teacher’s knows that each child has special gifts, and that growth occurs by identifying these gifts and building upon them.

You are always invited to visit our campus at any time.  If you schedule a time Mrs. Murray will give you a personal tour.  Brookfield profile is unique to Reno.  We encourage you to learn about our curriculum and philosophy and observe learning in action.  We are proud of our institution and want you to choose Brookfield because of our academic excellence. We are Reno’s oldest, finest, accredited, private, independent school offering Academic preschool through eighth grade.

Sincerely,

Brookfield School and Brookfield’s TLC

            Mrs. Murray, Admissions Director
