Brookfield School

  Mrs. Johnson kept us very busy.  We started at the Point Bonita Lighthouse in the Golden Gate National Monument. Then toured the Nike Missile Site and Mammal rescue center with many seals and sea lions.  Next we crossed the Golden Gate and visited Fort Point under the south tower of the golden gate bridge built before the Civil War. We then went to our Warf hotel and went to dinner nearby.  Monday we entered the Golden Gate Park and visited the California Academy of Science and Aquarium. The students saw a great skull display. Then back to the hotel with a Cable car ride to Chinatown.  After shopping then the group went to the boat to Alcatraz and had an early evening tour of Alcatraz.  Last day we toured the Exploritorium with the best display of Hands-On-Science. Cows eye disection and DNA extraction were the morning demonstrations.  Then home back to Reno.  See both pages of photos.
