Ms. Logan: Computers & Reading Specialist
Hello! My name is Lauren Logan. I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Art's degree in Elementary Education. I moved to Reno after graduation in 2010. My first year teaching was last year at Marvin Moss Elementary as the Reading/Math Interventionist. This will be my second year teaching and first year at Brookfield. I have only heard wonderful things about this school and I am very eager to start the school year! |

Mrs. Conkey: Specialty Music & Movement
My name is Mrs. Conkey. I will be teaching the Brown Bear preschool class this year. I am married with 3 young children who inspire me daily. I am originally from England and have lived in Reno for years. I am very excited to integrate my love of dance, and art and music into our preschool curriculum. I have been teaching under 5’s here and in England for over 10 years.
Working in the preschool environment is a joy for me. I hope to enjoy a magical year here at Brookfield. |

Miss "Jay" Jones: Physical Education
Hi, my name is Miss J (Sabreena Jones). I’ve been teaching at Brookfield since 2007. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Nevada , Reno in 2006. I enjoy teaching Physical Education, P.E. and working with children. This year we will be learning new games, teamwork, and strengthening our bodies. In my fee time I enjoy exercising at the gym, roller derby and, listening to music. I’m looking forward to another exciting year! |

Valerie Nelson: Violin
Valerie Nelson began teaching at Brookfield in 2011 when the school initiated its Violin Program. Valerie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UNR in music performance and education. She has an extensive background in Suzuki violin and early childhood music. Valerie performs with the Reno Chamber Orchestra, Reno Philharmonic and other Northern Nevada ensembles. Her passion for teaching is evident in her thriving violin studio and energetic group classes. When Valerie is not playing violin she enjoys cooking, growing tomatoes and kayaking and hiking with her husband and her 2 Golden Retrievers. |
