Mrs. Morgan Rogers has been a member of the Brookfield School family since 2013. Initially starting out as an assistant, she is overjoyed to have been given the opportunity to work her way up to obtain the position of a lead Junior Kindergarten teacher in 2016. Mrs. Rogers, a Reno native, graduated from the University of Nevada (Go Pack!) in May 2016 with her bachelor's degree in Integrated Elementary Education, specializing in Early Childhood Education. During her undergrad years, she spent a summer studying Early Education abroad in Reggio Emilia, Italy! In December of 2017, Mrs. Rogers graduated from the University of Arizona with her M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction in Early Childhood Education. In addition to both degrees, Mrs. Rogers holds a Nevada State teaching license in Elementary Education (K-8) as well as a specialty license in E.C.E (birth- age 8).
Mrs. Rogers believes that fostering all areas of a child’s development is critical to the learning process. In order to do so, she ensures that visual arts, performing arts, dramatic play as well as various academic domains are well balanced throughout her students’ daily schedule. Mrs. Rogers also believes that building a strong relationships with students and their family’s helps paint a detailed picture of the whole child and their specific needs, gifts, and desires.
In her free time, Mrs. Rogers loves to spend time with her husband Casey, their golden retriever, Harlow, and the rest of their family. Her favorite hobby is traveling, with Italy and Greece being her favorite places she has visited so far. Mrs. Rogers loves to adventure outdoors, go to the gym, dream build on Pinterest, as well as decorate her house (and her classroom). Her favorite phrase is “You can never be over-dressed or over-educated” and she is looking forward to another amazing year at Brookfield!
